Software that holds under load.

We design architecture and build backends in Go, Rust and Node.js for products that can’t afford to go down as they grow.

Move fast without piling up debt. We design the architecture, build the critical services, and leave your team ready to own them.

Measure before optimizing
We instrument from the first deploy. Traces, metrics and logs show where the problem is; intuition only says where we think it is.
Architecture follows the business
Every technical decision has to make sense in product terms: cost, time to market and risk. If it can’t, we don’t make it.
Your team keeps the knowledge
We document every decision and work alongside your team. When we’re done, the system doesn’t depend on us.

From the first decision to the deploy. We step in where the problem is: in the design, the backend, the interface or the team.

Architecture design

Service boundaries, contracts, data and deployment, defined before writing code. Microservices, event-driven or a well-built monolith, depending on the product.

api-gateway auth orders-svc postgres events

Backend development

APIs, workers and data pipelines that handle real load with predictable latency.

Trace of a checkout request: GET /checkout, total 38 ms

  1. api-gateway (Node.js): starts at 0 ms and takes 38 ms
  2. auth (Node.js): starts at 1 ms and takes 2 ms
  3. orders-svc (Go): starts at 4 ms and takes 31 ms
  4. pricing (Rust): starts at 6 ms and takes 4 ms
  5. postgres (PostgreSQL): starts at 11 ms and takes 14 ms
  6. events (RabbitMQ): starts at 27 ms and takes 3 ms

Web and mobile apps

Interfaces that load fast and respond in under 200 ms, measured with Core Web Vitals.

Technical consulting

Architecture audits, technical debt reduction and mentoring. Every recommendation is written down as a decision with its context.

Read replica for reports

Context
Reports run on the primary database. At month end, write p99 goes past 400 ms.
Decision
Move reports to a read replica, with up to 5 s of lag.
Consequences
Writes go back to their normal p99. Reports may show data up to 5 s old.

Visualizations use sample data.

Every tool, chosen for a reason.

Where latency matters

Concurrent services, APIs and hot paths where every millisecond and every megabyte counts.

  • Go
  • Rust

Where iteration speed matters

Fast-moving products, strictly typed and sharing types with the frontend.

  • Node.js
  • TypeScript

Where the interface matters

Web applications, fast sites and cross-platform mobile apps, measured with Core Web Vitals.

  • Angular
  • Astro
  • Flutter

Where measuring matters

Standard instrumentation from the first deploy, with open metrics and dashboards. If your team already uses Datadog or New Relic, we build on it.

  • OpenTelemetry
  • Grafana
  • Prometheus

The foundation

A transactional, predictable database, reliable queues and reproducible environments from laptop to production.

  • PostgreSQL
  • RabbitMQ
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
